This Letter to the Editor, The Rio Grande Sun by Jacob Torres

The letter was posted proudly in the Northern New Mexico College Career Tech Building before its closure. The encouraging letter was written by an alumus who earned his Associate's degree in Renewable Energy with a Certificate in Auto Tech and continued to NMSU. Torres graduated from two of the programs dissolved by the NNMC Administration. The letter ends: "I am a boy from Espanola who is going to be an engineer... My message is if I did it, so can everyone else." However, the very programs that produced Jacob Torres' success have now been cut by the Administration and the NNMC Board of Regents.
